These guidelines detail how Borders manage their Runs. All members should read and understand them, if you have queries or updates this can be raised at club meetings. Club run's - We always ride in a staggered formation for safe stopping
distance's. - When stopping at traffic lights or junctions bikes come forward and pair
off this takes up less room for other road user's. - BE SAFE just because the bike in front over takes don't assume its safe
for you to over take, and observe All traffic codes and practise's. - Trikes must be at front behind lead bike
- When on a run with Marshals on duty DO NOT OVER TAKE stay in formation
for your safety and the safety of Marshals. - Find out how fast you would like to ride on a run,
- slower rider must be near the front,
- normal in the middle of the bunch,
- faster rider at rear.
| Marshals
- As an appointed Marshal you must stay in the position which was
allocated you - Lead Marshal, your job is to lead the group, your maximum speed
will be no faster than national speed limit. - Middle Marshals your job will be to stay in the middle of group in case
of group been split, In this event you would become the new lead bike untill you catch up with the main party again. This is a job for two bikes one would become the back marker of lead group and the other to become leader of the slower rider's. - Rear Marshals again at least two marshal's your job is to bring up rear
of the party to make sure no one gets lost or breaks down, in the event of break down one marshal stays with the brake down and the other stays back marker. - Runners, these are Marshal's that will be in charge of the whole run and
group. Their job is to mark junctions, roundabouts and check on progress of the whole run. Keeping the lead bike informed on whats happening at the rear
